Black and White process

For shooting Black and White photography I sometimes use an Infrared converted Nikon D330. It’s the camera with the red body in these pictures.

I like the ethereal mood of infrared. I don’t mind if my black and white images aren’t technically perfect. I do no focus stacking or bracketing in black and white. I just let it happen. It’s very freeing.

Like so many young photographers Ansel Adams was a big influence on me. He was a pioneer of photography and an advocate of America’s National Parks. He is the benchmark that many of us aspire to.
